Herniated Disc?!

After many, many weeks of having lot’s of lower back pain, pain and dumbness down my right leg and being unable to walk my mom and I went in to the LDS Hospital in SLC to get an MRI of my lower back. It turns out I have a Herniated Disc in the disc right above the tail bone. As you can see from the picture above, a normal disc are those freebie like white things as you can see the last one is completely out and is actually pinching down those nerves (those fluid like white stuff.) 11th February 2015. I had the blessing of getting a call from a back surgeon who had an appointment fall through and I was able to get an appointment to see a back surgeon who could tell us what needed to happen to resolve this injury.

12th February 2015. I went in to see the back surgeon. He came into the room, looked at the MRI and looked right back at us and said “I’m sorry but there’s nothing we can do to help but do surgery. As you can probably imagine my mom’s heart (who was accompaning me) fell and she got super emotional. Nevertheless, the surgery was scheduled for that upcoming Tuesday the 17th of February 2015.
